It's a huge honour and privilege to represent our area. Last Sunday 15th August the Cheadle Hulme Allotment and Garden Association hosted an open day at their site on Billy's Lane (off Heathbank Road). Local MP Mark Hunter and Cllr Suzanne Wyatt were in attendance as to view the excellent work that has been going on for decades at the allotments.

Last Tuesday 10th August local MP Mark Hunter visited the AVRO Heritage Centre and met local members of the group at the BAE site in Woodford. Following the visit, Mr Hunter reiterated his strong support for the heritage centre to remain on the site regardless of what other developments take place in the area in the future.

Last Sunday 25th July hundreds of local residents attended the Cheadle Muslim Association Fun Day held at the Mosque on Wilmslow Road in Heald Green. The annual event, where the CMA throws its doors open to everyone in the community, was opened by special guests Mark Hunter MP and Mayor of Stockport Cllr Hazel Lees.

Yesterday, 26th July 2010, Cheadle MP Mark Hunter led a delegation of local MPs and members and senior officials from the G.M.P.T.E meet with Transport Minister Theresa Villiers to press for extra carriages on train services in the Greater Manchester area.

Earlier this month MAN Diesel hosted a celebration of its fantastic new training academy at the company's premises in Hazel Grove. Last week local MP Mark Hunter joined with Cheadle Hulme High School pupils and representatives of local charity Beacon Counselling to officially hand over a cheque of £3000 from the Youth & Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) as the prize for winning a top regional award from the organisation.
