Cheadle MP Mark Hunter will be leading a public meeting next week to deal with rising levels of anti-social behaviour in Bramhall village and surrounding areas. He will be joined by representatives from the Police and the local council's community safety unit in an effort to clamp down on the yobbish behaviour that has dogged the community in recent months.

The meeting will be taking place on Tuesday 15th August at 7:30pm at Bramhall Village Club on Lumb Lane - scene of many of the recent problems. Mark will be joined by Inspector Dave Turner from the Police and the Head of Stockport Council's Community Safety Unit, Steve Brown.

Said Mark, "Over the past few weeks and months, anti-social behaviour in Bramhall has made many local people's lives hell. That is why I have organised the public meeting so that we can get some action to deal with the problems and restore some peace to the heart of Bramhall."

"It is clear that Bramhall village has become a popular haunt for yobs and they are making many people's lives a misery. Local residents and business people are rightly sick and tired of the vandalism, noise, disturbance and fear that these hooligans have been causing. I am determined that the police, the council and local people can work together to stamp out this problem."
