Residents Survey - MP seeks your views1.56.37pm UTC (GMT +0000) Fri 8th Sep 2006
Cheadle MP Mark Hunter has been out and about over recent weeks finding out what really matters to local people. Mark and the local Lib Dem team have been travelling around the constituency conducting their detailed Residents Survey and asking local people - face to face - what they think the priorities for our area should be. So far, the team have conducted surveys with residents in Bramhall, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle and Gatley and there are plans to widen the survey. The Residents Survey follows Mark's successful Business Survey which he carried out a few weeks to ago to find out the views of local industry. Mark said, "The summer recess for Parliament has provided an excellent opportunity for me to meet even more people from across the constituency and listen to their views. Our survey covers a wide range of issues such as crime, transport, education and health and i will use all the information we have collected to represent our area as effectively as possible." "Some people don't expect to see politicians on their doorstep outside of election time but i believe it is vital to keep in touch with local residents all year round."
