Cheadle constituency MP, Mark Hunter paid a visit to Hursthead Infant School on Friday (23/03/07) to see for himself their new £12,000 state of the art play facilities.

The playground was part paid for by a scheme run by the Royal Bank of Scotland. The bank donated £4,000 and to date have donated money to over 300 schools nationwide. However, the vast majority funds were raised by the School's parents and staff association.

Commenting on the new facilities, Mark said:

"I always enjoy my school visits and it was great to see the new play facilities. Research shows that stimulating playgrounds such as this one significantly reduce bullying, stress and assist the emotional development of children. I can not praise the teachers and parents enough for their fundraising efforts, it certainly has been worthwhile."
