Mark Pays Birthday Tribute to Cheadle Bowling Club3.14.31pm UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 3rd Apr 2007
Mark Hunter, MP for Cheadle, dropped in on Cheadle Bowling club on Kingsway last Saturday (31st March) to join in with their 70th Birthday celebrations. Mark met the players and then joined Club President, Jo Crossland and the Club Secretary, Sandra McDermott to cut the Birthday cake. Mark commenting on the 70th Birthday celebrations held in the club pavilion said: "It really was tremendous to be able to join the club players and committee on such an important day. The bowling green lawn looked immaculate and there were some mean players out there. Cheadle Bowling club is a great success story, 70 years of history is a fantastic achievement. I wish the club every future success and many happy returns. Here is to the next seventy years! "
