Local MP tries out new IT facilities1.41.43pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 30th Jul 2008
Cheadle Constituency MP Mark Hunter recently visited Bradshaw Hall Primary School in Cheadle Hulme, where he tried out the new IT facilities being used by pupils there. While he was there Mr Hunter was pleased to attend a special assembly where he presented certificates to the pupils. The children also performed the story of Grace Darling, a Victorian heroine famous for rescuing shipwrecked crew members of the SS Forfarshire in 1838. Mr Hunter said "It's always a pleasure to see kids enjoying themselves and achieving so much at school - all the parents I saw looked extremely proud!" Speaking after viewing the schools new IT suite, the Cheadle MP said "I'm really glad that local schools are able to give our children the best possible start in life. Computer skills are becoming increasingly important in today's world, and learning from an early age will mean that the kids at Bradshaw Hall will have a really valuable head start."
