The British Heart Foundation (BHF) launched its new Red for Heart campaign as part of National Heart Month this February. The BHF is asking people to raise money to help fight the UK's biggest killer - heart and circulatory disease by wearing red to work on Friday 13th February¹. Mr Hunter showed his support by wearing red this week, following a request from BHF for MPs to wear red to demonstrate their backing for the campaign.
"You can also get together with your local community or local school and run a Red for Heart fundraiser - you can hold a red fancy dress part, a red bake sale or a fit-as-many-people-into-a-red-telephone-box stunt. Whatever you decide to do this month you can make a real difference and support the British Heart Foundation."
Jackie Skeel, Head of National Campaigns at the British Heart Foundation, said: "Thanks to Mark Hunter MP for going Red for Heart. Everyone can get involved with the campaign so please encourage your colleagues or friends to take part and help the BHF make a real difference."
